Are you a handbell ringer looking for an opportunity to play in an advanced community handbell ensemble?
Do you enjoy playing awesome handbell music with a fun group of musicians?
Do you like to challenge yourself and grow as a ringer?
If so, Bells of the Sound may be for you! We are always looking for new ringers who are interested in playing amazing music, from original handbell works, arrangements of Jazz or Classical pieces, and new music written for one of our composition contests, all with people who love to ring and love to share this unique music with our audiences. We ring on one of the largest bell sets in the United States and perform two concert seasons a year, one in December and one in April or May, at venues throughout the Puget Sound. We've also performed at multiple National Handbell Seminars, and even at the International Handbell Symposium in 2016.
Bells of the Sound holds auditions twice a year, once in October and once in March, at Tibbetts United Methodist Church in West Seattle. If you are interested in auditioning please contact Elliot Lewis to schedule a time. If the next audition date doesn't work for you please let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate.
If you're interested in auditioning but want to learn more about us you are welcome to attend one of our rehearsals, which are on Sundays from 4-7 also at Tibbetts United Methodist Church. If you'd like to attend a rehearsal please contact Bells of the Sound to let us know so we can welcome you!
